About Us
World Classic Martial Arts was founded in 1986 by Master Chan HO Park (8th Degree Black Belt). For well over thirty three years, World Classic Martial Arts has been the Family Martial Arts Academy of Maryland Gaithersburg Our mission is to help people of all ages develop important life skills, including in the areas of self-confidence, self-discipline, self-defense, fitness, mental focus, emotional awareness, and more. We achieve this through our certified instructors who have achieved advanced belt levels and are exceptional coaches and motivators. World Classic Martial Arts offers different types of classes to fit age, experience, time and commitment.

World Classic Martial Arts offers different types of classes to fit age, experience, time and commitment. Our Little Tigers program is designed for children ages 4 and 5, our Color Belt program is structured for children ages 6 & up and adults, our Black Belt program is intended for students who are committed to achieving their Black Belt, and our Family program is for children ages 7 & up and their adults.

Hobbies: Sports, Coaching, Music,(Play Drum) Traveling, Training and spending time with the family. Master Chan ho Park started TaeKwonDo at the age 5 Master Park is the most successful Tae Kwon Do athlete in the Gaithesrburg, Germantwon, Rockville area and the only professional TaeKwonDo athlete in Gaithersburg During his 33 years of training. He has learned how to incorperate structureand discipline wihile having fun with the student. Master Park is the best, skilled and most knowledgable teacher ever. I like WCMA because they use the traditional korean taekwondo and is very discipline. I have been using WCMA for years for myself and my kids and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Do not waste your time with other popular schools without much experience.
I came to this school for 5 years, working my way up to a black belt. It was hard work but so rewarding, thanks to the wonderful instructors including Grand Master Park, Master Ken, Master Jared, and more. Master Park is a highly accomplished and knowledgeable instructor but patient and kind. He taught me and the other students valuable lessons that I still carry to this day. He made sure that kids wanted to be there of their own volition and not because their parents pushed them into it. I’m so grateful to have come to WCMA because I learned lessons that made me a better student and person.
I cannot begin to express how happy I am with World Classic Martial Arts, but I will try! I was hesitant at first, as this was the first activity we enrolled our 6 year old son in, but I’m so glad we did! Master Park is absolutely wonderful and cares for the kids as if they’re his own. He not only teaches them Taekwondo, but also discipline, how to listen, and how to be respectful. We only enrolled our son a couple of months ago, but have already seen a dramatic improvement at home and school as well. I would highly recommend World Classic Martial Arts to all, and look forward to our son growing up with them and Master Park!
